Do I need to pay estimated tax every quarter, or can I pay a full amount at the end of the year?

Every situation is different, but typically it is a good idea to pay by each quarterly due date to avoid a penalty.

Note: If you do not pay enough during any payment period, you may be charged a penalty even if you are due a refund when you file your tax return.
